Why a Nonprofit?

ROAM operates as a nonprofit because we believe that access to quality sex therapy and perinatal mental health care shouldn't depend on your income, insurance status, or zip code. The nonprofit model allows us to prioritize mission over profit, reinvesting resources into expanding services and reaching underserved communities.

For clients, this means working with clinicians whose primary commitment is to your wellbeing, not to billing quotas or shareholder returns. It means sliding scale options, community partnerships, and an organizational culture rooted in values of equity and access.
